Distance no barrier to performance improvement for franchises
<![CDATA[By William Seidman One of the most important capabilities of the Cerebyte system is its ability to improve performance in large and geographically-dispersed organizations, for example franchises. We describe the challenges and the solutions to this in Performance Improvement in the Far-flung Enterprise and Optimizing Franchise Performance. I travel to Asia, Europe, and around the US for work with our customers, but I’m now using something that’s much less expensive than travel and that is working incredibly well for us and our clients. This week we are simultaneously deploying a program to Asia and Europe from bases in California and Oregon. We trained the coaches over the web and used Cisco Telepresence to deploy the program. We have used Telepresence before and found it to be as effective as face-to-face training — and much less expensive than travel. Next week we deploy the same program to US teams. In the space of about 10 days, about 40 people around the world started the program with the same quality but without any travel costs. The important thing here is –same quality and real savings for our customers.]]>
