The four positives defined

By William Seidman How is a leader to succeed? It takes much more than good intentions and a pressing need. In our work with leadership, we’ve developed The Four Positives — vitally important components of positive leadership. They are:

  • Positive Deviance – Use the positive deviants in your organization  to define the driving purpose and,  then, its best practices.
  • Positive Images – Focus on always using positive images, particularly your purpose, but make sure they are heartfelt.
  • Positive Practice –Practice (small bursts are fine) every day, doing a function right the first time.
  • Positive Reflection – Take the time to think about, talk with others and journal what it means to do something right, and how to do it well the first time.
