It was <strong><em>Resilient Today \u2013 Sustainable Tomorrow<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 His focus was on creating sustainable companies by focusing on being resilient today: meeting the needs of today without compromising your organization&#8217;s ability to meet the needs of the future.\u00a0 He talked about creating shareholder value, societal value and focusing on environmental resource protection while doing so.\u00a0And showing that companies are profiting from taking the sustainable stance.\n\nI presented the educational session, <strong><em>Transformative Motivation for Extraordinary Performance Improvement.<\/em><\/strong> There were more than 50 attendees<em> &#8212;<\/em> (I know because I ran out of materials!)\u00a0\u00a0It&#8217;s a\u00a0good sign\u00a0if you finish with the same number of people that you started with, and I did.\u00a0I focused on Dan Pink\u2019s book <em>Drive, <\/em>taking his latest thoughts on motivation and putting them in to practice using the Cerebyte methodology.\u00a0 Some of the companies and organizations\u00a0represented at the session included\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kpmg.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KPMG,<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.humana.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Humana<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.progressive.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Progressive<\/a>, Southern California Edison, Home Depot, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaiser.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kaiser<\/a>,\u00a0 The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uscg.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> US Coast Guard<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gulfstream.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gulfstream<\/a>, the gaming company<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aristocratgaming.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Aristocrat Technologies<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lgacademy.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LG Academy<\/a>\u00a0from Lahore, India; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.noaa.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NOAA<\/a>, Air Canada, Lowes, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gene.com\">Genentech<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.victoriassecret.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victoria&#8217;s Secret <\/a>and the\u00a0Governor\u2019s Center for Management Development in Austin, Texas.\n\nAll in all a great day.\u00a0It was 92 degrees out last night at dinner time!]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<![CDATA[]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[23,412,421],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.6 -
